About My Cars

my first car in the list is my thunder tiger ts4n 1/10th scale, which is my newest toy :) . I have yet to actually 'run it in' yet (which is what you have to to when its first built).
This was built from a kit which was one of those weekly magazine collections, and took a long time to collect lol.
Its capable of doing 50mph and has a two speed gearbox, and has a .12 engine in it.
All that is left to do on this car now is to finish the run in process and then tune it and add a failsafe (which will stop the car if it loses signal to the controller).

Second in the pictures is my Thunder Tiger SSK 1/10th scale monster truck.
This also has a .12 engine, and for its weight and big tyres, its still very fast!
This one runs like a dream, its very easy to start (with the pullstart cord) and is very stable while running.
Over rough terrain its brilliant, having lots of grip and plenty of power to get it over the hills and jumps :)

Thirdly we have my HPI nitro Rs4-3Evo 1/10th scale touring car.
This was my first nitro car, and have learnt alot from this, many do's and donts :P
One of the main DONT'S is not to run any nitro engine car without a failsafe!, and i found out the hard way, by losing signal to my car and having it hit a kerb at very high speed, which caused a large ammount of damage! this resulted in me having to replace the fuel tank, and radio box and stripping the car down and bending the chassis back into place, as it was seriously bent lol, and that was in the first wek of having it.
It still runs beautifully and its incredibly quick and needs skill to keep it from crashing into nearby objects!, but that all comes with more practice :)

Nitro fuel for these cars is relativly cheap around £10 for 2.27 litres, but depending on which fuel you get, as there are more expensive fuels which contain more nitro, and produce more power for your car, but can only be used in the specified size engines, otherwise it may cause alot of damage to your engine!
A tank of fuel can last quite a long time, i normally get around 20 minutes, maybe more out of a full tank, which is very good considering the performance they have :)

I find nitro cars more fun and exciting than electric r/c cars, as you have the noise of the engine as you open the throttle!

Lets See your r/c cars

PLease feel free to post your r/c car pics on here to show everyone what you have got/created
